Rob joined D.E.C. in January 2000. He brings with him a considerable background in computer graphics, playing a major role in the design and preparation of court demonstration charts. Rob has completed training in the development of indented impressions and has presented two papers at American Society of Questioned Document Examiners conferences: "Techniques and Terms Useful in the Examination of Graphite Offsetting" in Ottawa during August 2000; and "A Study of Photocopier Distortion Through Interactive Animations" in Montreal during August 2005. Rob also co-authored: "A Case Study Illustrating the Detection of Digital Manipulation", presented at the 2000 ASQDE conference in Ottawa; "The Document Examiner's Role in Deciphering the Handwriting of a Severely Impaired Writer" which was presented at both the MAFS and AAFS conferences in 2002 and 2003 respectively; "Graphics Software as an Aid to Establishing Stroke Order in Complex Signatures", presented by Brian Lindblom at the 2004 ASQDE conference in Memphis and the 2004 SAFDE conference in Atlanta; and the "Fax Font IV TTI Database - 2006 Update" presented by Brian Lindblom at the 2006 ASQDE conference in Portland. He is also the co-author of several chapters in the Second Edition of “Scientific Examination of Questioned Documents” published in 2006. |
